COAST TO COAST GRASS · BUYING CHECKLIST
Handheld vs broadcast vs drop lawn spreaders
Print using your browser’s Print command, or save as PDF. This is a blank planning checklist, not a product test.
Before you choose
Use this checklist with the current manual and listing. Borrowing, renting or keeping working equipment may fit the job better than buying.
- Area and borders
Record turf area, narrow strips, paving and beds. Compare broadcast reach with the control of a drop design.
- Material and settings
Confirm support for the actual seed or granular material. Use that product’s label and the spreader’s instructions; a setting for another material is not a transferable dose.
- Carrying and storage
The Whirl is carried and hand-cranked; the EdgeGuard Mini has wheels and a folding handle. Check the loaded tool and storage opening rather than assuming a comfortable fit.
- Calibration and cleanup
Follow the product-specific method to verify delivery over a measured area. Stop discharge when instructed during turns; recover spills and keep material out of drains. Clean and store as the manufacturer directs.
